Quasi-Hookie Day

We took today off work so that we didn't have to rush home after seeing family and friends in Dayton this weekend. Its was like playing hookie, only we both scheduled a vacation day well in advance. Ha! But its one of the first times we've both taken off and really not had anything we had to do. True, we drove back home this morning, but then when we got home, we just hung out. We did have some work done on the house, which I guess is considered productivity, but we weren't the ones doing the work, so it was like a day of goofing off a bit. We went to the pool and watched the playoff round of the US Open. I made a trip to Target to get Fido a new collar (This weekend, he decided to roll in some real genuine "Eeeeww de Toilet" if you catch my drift and his collar was non-salvagable), and then went and bought groceries for this week. All of this was done by 2p. Then we found ourselves sitting on the deck...enjoying really nice weather while reading (and catching up on this site from being gone this weekend)

The nicest part of our "quasi-hookie day" was that we were able to have breakfast with Mike's grandma. Its always great to spend time with her. She's quite a wonderful woman and happens to be very excited about her first great grandchild. What a way to start off the week--- breakfast at Grandma's and a delightful day together.
