27 weeks -- that just seems like a long time. Wow. Only a little over 90 days to go. That seems like just a little time. Pretty exciting.
As for what is going on with Little B this week, I'll share exactly what the Cleveland Clinic's Maternity Center says is happening in terms of development:
Little B now has eyelashes! Baby's eyes can move in their sockets, and Little B can tell light and dark, but cannot discern specific objects yet. Geez, I feel like I'm being watched!!
The eyes aren't the only part of baby that's developing by leaps and bound...other senses are becoming fine-tuned and more responsive to light, sound, taste, smell, and touch. Hmm, that must be what all the movements about. Little B is exploring!
Also, Little B is beginning to resemble more a "baby" especially when it comes to his/her skin. Its becoming smoother as body fat accumulates beneath the skin. And for whats going on under that cute layer of skin, Little B is getting smart! His/Her brain is developing further, and he/she can direct breathing movements.
As for me, Hotel W is apparently the size of a soccer ball now---that seems like a big object, doesn't it? As long as Little B is happy, we're happy. That's what's happening this week inside Hotel W!
